Charlie Kirk played the full game for Charlton Athletic in their 2-1 home win against Aston Villa’s Under-21s.
George Nunn played the final 11 mins for Chelsea’s Under-21s in their 4-1 penalties win at Forest Green Rovers (game finished 1-1 after 90 mins).
Alex Hurst was not involved for Port Vale in their 5-3 penalties defeat at Rotherham United (game finished 1-1 after 90 mins).
EFL Trophy – Wednesday:
Callum Ainley (45 mins), Connor O’Riordan, Luke Offord, Nathan Woodthorpe (77 mins), Luke Murphy and Oli Finney (scored) all started for Crewe Alexandra in their 2-0 home win against Doncaster Rovers.
