We look back at how the Alex Academy Alumni players have done this weekend ahead of the midweek round of games.

In the Premier League, Ashley Westwood played the final 21 minutes for Burnley in their 5-0 defeat away at Manchester City.

In the Championship, Billy Jones played the opening 28 minutes for Rotherham United in their 1-1 home draw with Bolton Wanderers whilst Luke Murphy was not involved for the visitors.

Cheyenne Dunkley played the full game and Nick Powell played the opening 87 minutes in Wigan Athletic’s 1-0 win at home to West Bromwich Albion.

In League 1, Oliver Turton played the full game for Blackpool in their 2-0 win at home to AFC Wimbledon whilst Max Clayton was not involved for the hosts.

Kelvin Mellor played the first 17 minutes before being replaced in Bradford City’s 2-0 defeat at home to Bradford City.

George Cooper was an unused substitute for Peterborough United in their 1-0 home defeat against Accrington Stanley, Liam Nolan was not involved for the visitors.

Gareth Evans was a second-half injury-time substitute for Portsmouth in their 1-0 win at home to Fleetwood Town.

Junior Brown played the full game for Coventry City in their 2-1 win at Southend United.

Ryan Colclough played the full game and scored in the opening minute for Scunthorpe United in their 3-2 defeat at Wycombe Wanderers.

In League 2, Nicky Maynard played 89 minutes before being replaced and scored in Bury’s 4-0 victory at home to Notts County. Matt Tootle played the full game and was booked whilst David Vaughan played the second-half for the visitors.

Chris Clements was not involved for Cheltenham Town in their 1-0 defeat at Forest Green Rovers.

Harry Davis was not involved for Grimsby Town in their 0-0 draw at home to Exeter City.

Michael O’Connor was not involved for Lincoln City in their 1-1 home draw against Cambridge United.

Billy Waters played the first 75 minutes for Northampton Town in their 1-0 defeat at MK Dons.

AJ Leitch-Smith played the full game for Morecambe in their 0-0 home draw with Colchester United with Jason Oswell an unused substitute for the hosts.

Brendon Daniels was not involved for Port Vale in their 1-0 victory at Oldham Athletic.

Ben Garratt, George Ray, Perry Ng, Callum Ainley, Ryan Wintle (60 minutes), Harry Pickering, Charlie Kirk (booked) and Shaun Miller all started and played the full game for Crewe Alexandra in their 1-0 win at Stevenage. James Jones came on for the final 30 minutes (booked) whilst Oliver Finney was an unused substitute for the visitors and Will Appleyard was not involved for the hosts.

Finally, Ritchie Sutton played the full game and was booked for Tranmere Rovers in their 0-0 draw at Yeovil Town.
