The final weekend of September saw another name added to the list of Crewe Alexandra Academy Graduates that are playing in the Premier and Football Leagues after a striker joined a League 2 club this week.
Firstly in the Premier League, Ashley Westwood played the full game and was booked in Burnley’s 2-1 victory at Cardiff City this afternoon.
The Championship saw Luke Murphy not involved in Bolton Wanderers’ 1-0 victory at home to Derby County.
Both Cheyenne Dunkley and Nick Powell played the full game for Wigan Athletic in their 1-0 away loss at Norwich City.
Billy Jones played the full 90 minutes in Rotherham United’s 2-2 draw at home to Stoke City.
Onto League 1 where Junior Brown played the opening 17 minutes before going off injured for Coventry City in their 1-1 home draw against Sunderland.
Kelvin Mellor played the full game for Bradford City in their 0-0 draw at home to Bristol Rovers.
Ryan Colclough played the full game for Scunthorpe United in their 0-0 draw away at Burton Albion.
Oliver Turton played the full game for Blackpool in their 2-2 draw away at Peterborough United. Neither Max Clayton (Blackpool) nor George Cooper (Peterborough) were involved in the game.
Gareth Evans played 75 minutes before being substituted for Portsmouth in their 3-1 victory at Rochdale.
Liam Nolan was not involved for Accrington Stanley in their 1-0 win at Walsall.
Into League 2 where Will Appleyard was an unused substitute for Stevenage in their 1-0 win at Carlisle United.
Lincoln City’s Michael O’Connor played the full game in their 2-0 win at Cheltenham Town, where Chris Clements was an unused substitute for the hosts.
Byron Moore played the opening 85 minutes and scored in Bury’s 2-1 victory at Colchester United. Nicky Maynard made his debut for the Shakers as a 68th-minute substitute.
